The center, consisting of the Reproductive Endocrinology Clinic, Reproductive Minimally Invasive Ward, Andrology Department and ART Laboratory, prides itself on a medical team featuring superb technology, noble medical ethics and meticulous scholarship, and has 46 medical staff members including 19 clinicians, 5 experimenters and 22 nurses. Eight of them have the senior title, four of them own doctor’s degree and twelve of them are masters. Currently, led by the president ZHANG Zhifen, the center have developed a mid-term and long-term development plan to actively introduce and cultivate talents, give fully play to the team spirit, focus on combination of clinical practice and scientific research, keep the technical advantages and insist on blazing new trails in a pioneering spirit, striving to develop into one of the largest specialized medical center for diagnosis and treatment of reproductive endocrine disorders and infertility in Zhejiang Province and even in China.
The Reproductive Endocrinology Center of Hangzhou Women's Hospital is a specialized medical center for the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive endocrine disorders and infertility, which integrates medicine, teaching and scientific research. It is one of the first batch of municipal medical institutions to carry out assisted reproductive technology in Hangzhou, a key medical discipline of Hangzhou, and Hangzhou Gynecological Endocrine Disease Diagnosis & Treatment Center and Hangzhou Perimenopausal Health Care Center.
The center not only boasts advanced assisted reproductive technology, but also has a wealth of clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome, abnormal uterine bleeding, amenorrhea, hyperprolactinemia, premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), sexual development disorder, perimenopausal syndrome, recurrent abortion and male infertility. Introducing the concept of microsurgery into the treatment of infertility, the center actively applies uterine and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive endocrine diseases and infertility. The use of uterine and laparoscopic techniques for the treatment of endometriosis, fallopian tube disease, uterine cavity lesion, fibroid and other diseases maximizes the recovery and maintenance of female reproductive organs. The center also pays much attention to cross-disciplines, continuously gathering and pooling talent resources of different disciplines. With these talents, it, standing at the scientific frontier of reproductive endocrinology research, actively carries out basic and clinical application research. Its clinical diagnosis, treatment and research level have already reached the domestic advanced level.
