Our Hospital Successfully Undertakes the CMA' 6th China Menopause Seminar

CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group's 6th Seminar on Menopause was successfully held in Hangzhou Radisson Hotel Platinum on October 11, 2018 to October 14, 2018. The seminar was organized by CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group and undertaken by Hangzhou Women's Hospital. The seminar included the latest development in menopause on basic research and clinical application, built up a platform for academic exchange and development in the nationwide, which exerted great importance on guiding and propelling the development of menopause in China.

Professor YU Qi, Professor XU Ling and Professor CHEN Rong from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), Professor REN Mulan from Southeast University Medical Hospital, Professor RUAN Xiangyan from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Capital Medical University, Professor YANG Xin from Peking University People's Hospital, Professor ZHANG Zhifen from Hangzhou Women's Health Hospital and other well-known specialists (over 20 in total)  of CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group provided theoretical interpretation and medical case analysis as regards menopause including changes in physiology, psychology and pathology, latest viewpoints of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), treatment medicine and plan research development and reproductive ageing process. Our President ZHANG Zhifen gave excellent classes in early management of adolescence highlighting overall MDT management in climacteric period and early menopause as well as early identification and treatment to POI.

The conference also held an Excellent Theses and Scientific Speech Competition and 20 outstanding theses were selected and praised in the conference. Representatives from 23 hospitals attended the speech competition in which the speeches were extremely brilliant winning tremendous recognition. JIN Xuejing, Director of our Women's Endocrinology Department won the second place in the scientific speech competition by "Could I have a child during my climacteric period?".

During the conference, Zhejiang CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group held 2018 Zhejiang CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group & Zhejiang MHT Partner Specialists' Seminar. Some members of  Zhejiang CMA's Women's Health Institute Menopause Group and MHT project partner hospitals attended the conference.

 In the conference presided by ZHANG Zhifen, Director HUANG Jian gave a summary report on the research achievement of major scientific project Perimenopausal and Menopausal Female Hormones Treatment & Estrogen and Anti-ageing Basis and Clinic Research. All specialists and scholars present the conference had fierce discussion and in-depth exchange in project development, achievement marketing and further cooperation.

There were over 500 trainees from all over China attending the nationwide seminar on menopause. Of them, one-third were from Zhejiang. The thick academic atmosphere, excellent contents and well-organized schedule have won widely praise from sponsor, specialists and trainees attended. The conference closed on October 14.
