JCI Accreditation Practice for Hangzhou Women's Hospital to Welcome G20

On June 22, the delegation led by Mayor ZHANG Hongming came to Hangzhou Women's Hospital (Hangzhou Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital) researched into development of Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation of the hospital. Vice Mayor CHEN Hongying, Secretary-General WANG Hongmi, Deputy Secretary-General HE Lihong, Deputy Secretary-General YANG Jianhua, Deputy Director BAO Yifei, TENG Jianrong, Director of Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, and leadership of Hangzhou Women's Hospital attended the investigation.

JCI Accreditation, whose standards are medical service standards recognized by the world and mode recognized by World Health Organization (WHO), represents the highest level of hospital's services and hospital management. Take patients' safety as the focus, JCI highlights continuity and consistency of medical care, pays attention to the safety of patients and improvement of continuous quality, improves medical health and quality for patients. As the first municipal-level hospital in Hangzhou for JCI Accreditation, our hospital keeps on the work for JCI Accreditation in order since base evaluation in September.

Mayor ZHANG pointed out that it was quite pleasing to witness more than 10,000 babies delivered and nearly 2,000 outpatients received on a daily basis in more than one year since the launch of the hospital. He believed that the internal procedures of the hospital were normative, instruments were advanced and personnel distribution was reasonable. He hoped that the hospital can pass JCI Accreditation to be more in line with the international world for G20 with higher level and more features.
