The Galactophore Department of our hospital undertakes the “two cancers screening” of the city and focuses on early detection and treatment of breast carcinoma. The department has carried out the diagnosis and treatment of galactophore benign and malignant tumors, postpartum milk accumulating, armpit disease, and chronic and acute mastitis, etc. It also conducts galactophore surgery in accordance with international mode, features minimally invasive resection of breast masses and applies the day-care ward treatment mode of one-day operation, one-day puncture, one-day chemotherapy and one-day targeted therapy, etc. The conventional treatment methods, including examination, diagnosis and treatment, could be completed within one day. The department also carries out treatment of breast carcinoma pursuant to international standards.
The department is dedicated to the prevention against and early detection and treatment of breast carcinoma, in-depth study on the prevention against and high risk factors of breast malignant tumors, standardized and individualized treatment of benign and malignant breast tumors, refined operation of modified radical mastectomy, breast protection radical correction and sentinel lymph node biopsy and other breast surgeries. The breast protection surgery and armpit protection surgery have been up to the international advanced level.
Presently, the department is involved in 3 municipal and provincial projects, as well as in-depth study on the role of nutrition, metabolism and hormones in the development of breast cancer. It also adopts new technologies and new methods for the diagnosis and treatment of fetal hereditary breast cancer, young women breast cancer and ovarian protection, elderly breast cancer, pregnancy breast cancer and other special breast cancers and follows the track of the latest international progress, achieving remarkable results.
