Ultrasound & ECG Department of Hangzhou Women’s Hospital is a department of progressiveness and vitality, featuring outstanding professional skills, advanced equipment, beautiful environment and excellent services. It boasts 40 in-service staff members at present, among which there are 26 sonographers (including 5 deputy chief physicians, 9 attending physicians and 12 resident physicians, 4 out of which have master’s degree), 3 ECG physicians, 9 medical assistants, 1 nurse and 1 medical guide and is equipped with 14 sets of high-end colour doppler ultrasound instruments, which include 1 set of the most advanced professional obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound instrument - GE voluson E10, 4 sets of GE voluson E8, 2 sets of GE voluson E6 and 2 sets of Samsung ws80A. Examinations offered by the department cover the majority of the comprehensive ones, including abdomen examination, urinary system examination, superficial examination, obstetrical examination, gynecological examination, heart examination (including adult, pediatric and fetal cardiac ultrasound examinations), blood vessel examination, pelvic floor examination, neonatal head examination and pediatric hip joint examination. Featured ultrasound examinations of the department are obstetric ultrasound (grade I, II, III and IV obstetric ultrasound) examination, gynecological ultrasound (including gynecological 3D and pelvic floor 3D ultrasound) examination, fetal cardiac ultrasound, interventional ultrasound (covering fetal amniocentesis, fetal cord blood puncture, fetal villus puncture, partial sclerotherapy for incision pregnancy and hysterosalpingography) and pediatric hip joint ultrasound examination;

The Department of Echocardiography becomes an important part of the few prenatal diagnosis centers in Hangzhou at the beginning of its establishment. The average annual consultation visits is over 500 and the positive rate over 95%. Obstetrical Department features fetal cardiac ultrasound and twin ultrasound examinations. In addition, as the provincial pelvic floor diagnosis and treatment center relying on the hospital, the department carries out more than 13,000 pelvic floor three-dimensional ultrasound examinations throughout the year, and as a training point for pelvic floor technologies in the province, it provides professional training and guidance for the medical personnel engaged in pelvic floor three-dimensional ultrasound examination in the province.

The main backbone members of the department are members and youth committee members in various academic groups, contributing fruitful research results. In recent years, they have published 1 professional paper in SCI international journals, and over 10 papers in domestic first-level and second-level core journals, presided over and participated in multiple projects at municipal and provincial levels and won the title of hospital scientific research team.
