Located at 6th floor of the outpatient building, the Child Development Center of Hangzhou Women’s Hospital mainly undertakes various items of health care clinic and physical examination for infants and children. Covering an overall area of 1,500 m2, the center sets up independent areas such as Children’s Playground, Mother-and-Baby Room and School of Health Education with a warm environment in cartoon style.
Following the concept of new modern health care, the center focuses on the development of children in the first 1,000 days and thus sets up Children Health Care Clinic, Premature (High-risk) Infant Clinic, Newborn Health Care Clinic, Nutrition Clinic, Allergy Prevention & Consultation Clinic, Infantile Massage Clinic, Hearing Screening Clinic, Vision Screening Clinic, Rehabilitation Clinic, etc. In addition, in order to better carry out the intervention and treatment of high-risk infants, the center is specially designed with sensory integration treatment room, cognitive language treatment room, exercise treatment room, massage therapy room, psychological development evaluation room, baby swimming therapy & bath center and so on. The center adopts the evaluation-intervention-re-evaluation model and the pattern of family intervention supplemented by medical intervention to comprehensively monitor the development process of infants and young children, to promote the early growth and development of infants and young children, and to meet the high-level and diversified needs of parents for children’s health care.
The center is well equipped with ultrasound bone densitometer, chronic EEG therapeutic apparatus, vision screener, otoacoustic emission, auditory brainstem response tester, middle ear analyzer and other instruments to help better carry out health care treatment.

Service items: it is mainly responsible for growth and development monitoring, evaluation on the growth and development status and developmental trends of infants, while providing such services as nutrition assessment, dietary and feeding behavior analysis & guidance, and screening of birth defects like dysplasia of hip joint.

[Newborn Health Care Clinic]
Service items: Feeding guidance, prevention & cure of dyspepsia and diagnosis & treatment of hyperbilirubinemia, etc. for newborns within 28 days of birth.

[Rehabilitation Clinic]
Service items: Rehabilitation treatment to child patients with motor retardation during development; language assessment and comprehensive treatment of speech and language for children with such problems as hearing but not speaking, speaking simply or speaking with a lisp, and targeted training and guidance for parents.

[Hearing Screening Clinic]
Service items: Hearing re-screening for infants who are 42 days old; hearing re-screening for infants who have failed to pass the hearing screening 48 hours after birth in midwifery institutions in the entire city; referral and follow-up visits.

Service items: Early rehabilitation center for children provides such services as follow-up visit, monitoring, assessment and intervention to the children with high-risk factors upon birth or premature infants or those with development derivation or retardation detected during physical examination. Under the leadership of the senior child health care experts, with the working guideline of "assessment-instruction-training-assessment", the diagnosis and treatment group will follow up and monitor the development conditions of the children, and provide family instruction, early intervention and early rehabilitation treatment based on development conditions of each child.

[Expert Clinic for Child Nutrition]
Service items: Case management and regular follow-up visit to the children with low weight, development retardation, iron-deficiency anemia, poor nutrition, rickets and repeating respiratory tract infection, and microelement inspection and lead pollution prevention and treatment at the same time.
