Hangzhou Women's Hospital German ROWA Automation Pharmacy Goes into Operation

It will be responsible for Auto Dispensing and Pre-dispensing of 80% Box-packed Medication

At the beginning of 2015, Hangzhou Women's Hospital introduced  German Rowa automation dispensing machine. With an installation adjustment of over six months, the hospital's automation pharmacy is officially put into operation in recent days.

It is known that automation dispensing machine consists of Rowa iProlog full-auto medication system and Rowa vmax automation pharmacy system connecting with HIS information system of our hospital. It includes the full process of getting service numbers, identifying and dispensing medicine automatically, i.e. patients get numbers in advance, the information will be transferred to dispensing machine, and automatic medication was dispensed to the corresponding medication exit. The distributors checked to pre-distribution and the digital calling system after the pharmacy showed patients' names and called the patients to get medicine at the window of dispensing. Currently the machine can satisfy 80% box-packed auto dispensing and pre-distribution, which not only improve the working efficiency of pharmacists and greatly enhance accuracy of prescription distribution by triple check (by system, prescribers and window staff) .
